New York, NY, July 2020—USAfrica Hub is excited to announce that as of June 23rd, 2020, it has received a determination from the IRS and is now a public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. This status will further broaden the organization’s access to resources and strengthen its ability to serve its community. 

This new status allows USAfrica HUB to accept tax-deductible donations and grants that will be used to continue their important work of boosting trade and investment between the United States and Africa. 

”This is a major milestone for USAfrica Hub,” remarked Executive Director Gbenga Omotayo. “Achieving this milestone opens so many doors for us and we can now engage in fundraising, accepting donations, and applying for grants. It’s the next logical step for our nonprofit and will enable us to fully realize our goals of helping SMEs in expanding into international markets by connecting them with new buyers, suppliers, and investment opportunities. It will also allow us to provide free export and market access consultations, training programs, trade exhibitions, webinars, and trade missions.
